KUJTO is a non-profit and independent foundation founded in 2018 and based in Tirana, Albania.
Our aim is to research, study and present what happened to the victims who endured convictions, internment or persecution during the Albanian communist dictatorship.
Through the help of a wide volunteering network and expert consulting, we target as many influential factors as possible in awareness-raising and education, so that truth be guided by facts. We consider the latter to be of a sublime value in recording identity and contributing to a more harmonious society, and to the respect for the freedoms and rights of each individual.
Our goal is the acknowledgment of our past for a better future.
